Lead Developer

I'm working as the lead developer for the Mu2e Experiment at the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Minnesota. The goal is to create a particle accelerator to detect particles beyond the standard model. More than 40 institutions are involved and the first beam commissioning is expected to start in 2020 at Muon Campus, Fermilab. My contribution includes:
• Assemble and test components for detector to be placed in particle accelerator at Fermilab, Chicago. A $300M particle physics research project funded by United States Department of Energy to study Muon-to-Electron Conversion.
• Designed a set of GUIs with Python to help create the panels for the detector. The GUIs made sure that standard procedures were followed to make the panels with precision and perfection. The data from these procedures was collected in SQLite.
• Analyzed the collected data for hundreds of panels using SQL to make the detector efficient.

SAVIOURS: A NGO

Bird Treatment Camp

It was Jaipur’s famous kite flying festival, Makar sakranti, 2010. A bird injured by flying manjhas, that invaded its territory of flying, fell right in front of me. I could not save the bird, but I swore right there not to ever fly a kite again in my life.
I joined Saviours, a NGO aimed at saving birds and snakes. Since then, for 5 straight years, I have organized a bird treatment camp with them. We save 80+ injured birds every year during the festival. Not only do I rescue and help treat the birds, I am also responsible for management and logistics of the initiative.

Second International Life Skills, Values, Gender, School Health and Wellbeing Summit by CBSE was attended by more than 110 schools from all over the world. I won prizes for drama, instrumental music, exhibition and elocution- some as a team and some individually.

Receiving the Second prize from Kalki Koechlin.

The Jaipur Theatre Festival, Jairangam, organized Jaipur-Nukkad which saw participants of colleges and school from all over the city. The street play we performed aimed at conservation of nature and the need of sustainable development all over the world. Having won Second prize we were given the opportunity to perform with famous Indian actress Kalki Koechlin.

COUNTER TERRORISM CONFERENCE

Technical Team Head

I volunteered at Counter Terrorism Conference- a conference attended by speakers from all over the world. I was the technical team head and had an interactive experience with India’s Home minister, Finance Minister and Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The event enriched my knowledge as it had a series of debates, lectures and group discussions on the subject.
